Applications use databases, and application developers write application code. Using an ORM can let an application developer avoid having to write T-SQL by translating code that interacts with application-level objects into database queries. In this session, we’ll look at some of the things that can go wrong with this approach, including how to spot some of those situations yourself.
Rob Farley (SQL Server MCM, MVP, MCT) runs local SQL consultancy LobsterPot Solutions, through which he and team help clients with their data stories, including implementation design, performance tuning, BI systems and training. Rob and his team also present regularly at the largest SQL Server events in the world. You can email him at email@example.com
